Yeah, no matter what people are promoting with their backlink, if they aren't in-context and actually giving feedback to the post, they are always spam in my book.

Favorite Blogs...
I like Problogger, and Copyblogger. I ALWAYS read FTR. I like Lynn Terry, and Andy Beard. And then I really enjoy some "getting bigger" type blogs like 45n5, Internet Marketing Mind, The Writers Manifesto just to name a few.
