Youtube, Digg, Facebook and now Twitter are the ones really useful for me. I find myspace full of spam so it's not worth it anymore!

I am surprised by a few of the sites on that list. I am also surprised that Ebay isn't on there. They get millions of hits everyday.

Excellent information and collection of social networks. I have joined 4 including digg.com, myspace, orkut and facebook. Rest of the social networks are new for me. Yest social networks are powerful option to generate traffic alternate to google.

That's definitely true right now, but sites shift in popularity and effectiveness for driving targeted traffic and having a presence on all of them has a cumulative effect that is too good to pass up.

It's nice if you can get a top 10 list by category. Being on Facebook, Digg, and Twitter is more useful than on Facebook, MySpace, BeBo, and Orkut at the same time.

B/c if you ask if MySpace is a waste of time for MArketers - who want to MARKET on MySpace (like they do so heavily on FaceBook) then fer sure! No Marketers should waste their time on MySpace.
