I found esnips.com yesterday and am really excited about it. I gives you 5 GB of free space to which you can upload and share all kinds of files. I love it and recommend using it!

A great Free resource that has tested 42 video sharing sites for user friendliness and video viewing quality and more.
Thanks again for the comprehensive list. Regarding your comment "There are a lot of new video sharing sites coming up all the time. At some point there will be as many as article directories."
Yup looks that may be the future. Why do people overdo a think to death ?

Dear Jack,
BDTube.com is also a popular Video Sharing Site with about 2000-3000 hits per day. It is dedicated for the Bangla speaking population: The 4th largest primary language population after English, Spanish, and Chinese.
I hope you will have a peek.

Great resource list. Thanks.
It will be more useful if someone has actually tried out these video sites and show more results such as the amount of views and referred traffic, etc.
Of course, each site may be different when it comes to the type of audience and other factors.

I am new to videos promotion but I have noticed that most video sites put a "nofollow" in their links... so you dont get the PR juice from them only the traffic. So even if its a PR 10 video website you dont gain fom the pr... too bad...
JackHumphrey
Yes that's too bad they got suckered into the no follow scam. But we as marketers have to be very careful not to ignore traffic just because a site has no follow links.

Thanks for the list. I have been slowly getting into video. Mostly how-to stuff with my url on the end. I'll be checking out these sights to add my videos to.

Interesting list with the PR of high ranking video sharing sites, is PR everything though, noticed a site http://www.buzdeo.com when searching for secure video sharing came top in google but had a PR of 0.
JackHumphrey
No, PR certainly isn't the only benchmark. There are always other newer sites coming on that score for keywords. But did you "notice" buzdeo.com or did you start that site? :)

I nearly gave up using video for marketing - I tried Sony Vegas and a few other programs but I just needed a quick and easy video editing program and eventually found a really easy one that gives fairly unique results (http://www.runwebs.com). I haven't looked back! Thanks for your valuable video resources on this site - Your post on Easy Video Embedding helped me so much and this list of video sites is brilliant.

Hello
Can you please check my video sharing website - http://www.clipta.com - and give me your opinion if it would compete with the big sites.
http://www.idesktop.tv is a cool new site. It provides a better way to search and view YouTube videos.
You can also do cool stuff like resize the videos as theyre playing, and download the videos in a variety of different formats.

All these sites are great. I came upon a travel video sharing site www.triporia.com. You can share travel videos and view videos from different destinations. Cool videos from all over the world.
I think video is a way of getting out there so to speak. I did come across a site thats free and allows you to upload you videos to the top 10 at this stage with more to come i think they mentioned.
i have used it to upload to only 3 so far(because i have been to lazy to sign up the the other 7). but its great.
Pond Reviews is hands down the largest fishing video resource on the internet today. With thousands of videos on offer you will be amazed at video footage taken from all over the world.
It's a very good list...comprehensive... I have recently visited another new site www.thinkgottalent.com. It's new but it's good. There are several categories like Acrobat, Actors, Animal Acts, Cinematographer, Clowns,Comedian, Contortionists, in which I can put my own video to show my talent. Great.

Absolutely love your post on the Top 50 Video Sharing Sites, and this is wild - because I recently created an eBook about this very topic and it also looks into Social Networking Sites, Bookmarking Sites, and (as you've already done) nearly 150+ Video Sharing sites...
I think what's amazing about ranking in Google is that there's even more than meets the eye when you look at the Alexa Rank and such... you'll find Alexa Ranks high but Google PR low - there's a funny one - but they exist all over the place.
Also, I'll additionally add - that some sites don't even exist anymore - yet they existed just 4 months ago... we live in a 'fluid' web - we do! :)
Great Post, Jack!

Great Post Jack! I've commented elsewhere, and will follow up on this for sure.
I've been using Traffic Geyser for 2 months now, I've been able to get some phenomenal rankings on Google. I even managed to get 9 out of the first 10 listings for some of the longtail keyword phrases that people search for in our industry. So...this is a very powerful and effective tool, it saves me a ton of time, upload your video to their site and that's it...job done. Your video is distributed everywhere.
Thank you for making me aware of this service, it's having a major impact on our bottom line.
Hey this is a good blog, you definetly know your stuff. I have found you through mike Filsaime link on a email he sent. I have heard that this social networking is getting as much traffic as google is. And we all know its about traffic who cares where it comes from.

Check it out we have an account and it's quite a smart idea.

The great thing about this there is no monthly fees, just a one time upgrade.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me: I have copy/pasted the code from sites like YouTube into my html and have had no problems with that but when they are visible, very often, the screens are too large for my site so, how can I regulate the size of the screens? Thanks for any input you can supply. JM P.S. Jack, you're terrific! So much assistance and advice!

Hi Jack readers n posters ... video information fans ... talk about video how about the live video sites not sure how many there are online but have you noticed all the savvy marketing mentors seem to be getting into it and sharing sellable information FOC
Last night I hooked up with Joe Vitale and Pat Obrian recorded live session I was lucky only just stumbled across the link by scrolling down the page looking for the print page button last link on the page? .. seeing this use of video made me understand how lucky we all are being able to have sites such as this one absolutely priceless thanks Jack and all you sharing posters above it just makes sharing a pleasure....
I see that this post is from way back... I'm not too familiar with most of the sites you listed above. Is this list still fairly accurate or have there been some significant shifts in positioning?
