Hopefully legit WP plugin developers and theme designers use it as a service to provide great tuts and not blast it with marketing pitches.

If only they would moderate this a little better, because it has alot of potential.

As you have rightly pointed out Jack this site is 'a great resource for a large group interested in one thing'.
I hope they will tackle the spam comments problem soon. Just removing the 'recent comment' section from the sidebar can improve the value of the site.

It's a goldmine of WP information.
I just read the post on 404 errors that can pop up after placing extra security around the wp-admin folder (which I did a while ago and haven't experienced any problems with).
One of the things that post points out is that the majority of hacked WP blogs are NOT accessed via the admin login - there are other doors that people leave open:
For example - anyone can get your FTP login by intercepting your details when you're FTP'ing to your blog, or through spyware on your PC. Once they have those it's open season.
For anyone concerned with WP security it's a great post. It's already bookmarked! :-)
Cheers,
Martin.

This article inspired me. I got a little bored / curious / adventurous over the holidays and decided to create my own Digg style site.
It's not nearly as focused as the WP site you mention but I think i may really connect with a lot of bloggers.
Check it out and let me know what you think...
